Frequently asked questions

Models such as the VW Golf, Tiguan, and ID.3 sell particularly well, as they enjoy high demand and stable resale values in Switzerland. SUVs and electric models are especially trending.

Even with high mileage, many VW models achieve good prices – especially if well maintained, with documented servicing, and in popular versions such as the Passat or Golf Variant.

Yes. Electric vehicles such as the VW ID.3 or VW ID.4 are evaluated based on factors like charging cycles, battery condition, and range. For combustion models, maintenance, mileage, and emissions are the key factors.

Special features such as R-Line, panoramic roof, or assistance packages can increase the value if they are relevant to the market. We assess equipment individually – depending on the model and target group.

Yes, we also support vehicles with known VW issues such as DSG transmission or timing chain problems. The valuation is carried out transparently and in line with the market, taking the condition into account.

With us, you benefit from data-based valuation, personal support, and a network of trusted partners – instead of a trade-in with a flat discount, as is often the case at dealerships.
In addition, we take care of the listing, TCS check, price negotiations, and the entire process for you – with no risk or upfront costs. This way, you not only get more for your VW but also save yourself time and uncertainty.

Yes. We have experience with VW Multivan, Transporter, Caddy, and more. These vehicles are especially popular with families and businesses – which has a positive effect on resale prices.

ID.3 (compact class): The range varies between 330–545 km WLTP depending on the battery. In real-world use, it’s usually around 300–400 km. This makes the ID.3 particularly practical for everyday city driving and trips, as it offers good charging performance.

ID.4 (SUV): Available with 52 kWh and 77 kWh battery options, the ID.4 offers a range of up to 500 km (WLTP) and solid fast-charging capability of up to 135 kW.

ID. Buzz (electric van): Depending on the version, the WLTP range is between 330 and 487 km. The battery capacity ranges from 59 kWh to 86 kWh, with charging power of up to 170 kW. In real-world use, ranges of 300 to 400 km are realistic.

VW Switzerland offers the LongLife service for many models – depending on engine type and equipment. Service intervals can be up to 30,000 km or 2 years, depending on driving style and model. You can find the exact due date in your service booklet or the VW app.

New cars: VW provides a 2-year warranty with no mileage limit on new vehicles.

Drive battery (ID models): The high-voltage battery is covered by an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty – if usable capacity drops below 70%.

Official VW service centers: Present in every major city and region – for example through partners such as AMAG, Emil Frey, and other certified workshops.

Independent garages: Servicing at independent workshops is generally possible without voiding the warranty – provided that original parts are used and the manufacturer’s specifications are followed.

Service: Depending on engine type and scope of work, the cost per maintenance interval is around CHF 400–800.

Insurance: For liability plus partial or full coverage, you should expect CHF 750–1,200 per year – depending on coverage and provider.

Taxes and tires: Additional ongoing costs such as road tax and tire changes amount to around CHF 200–400 per year.

Total annual costs: Depending on usage and vehicle equipment, the average expense amounts to CHF 1,500–2,500 per year.

Navigation data updates are often included in the service contract or can be carried out at a reduced cost. Depending on the model and scope, an update costs around CHF 150–300 – in most cases, these services are already included in the LongLife service.

Switzerland has a nationwide and reliable charging infrastructure – including providers such as TCS, EnBW, and Chargy.

VW also offers its own charging solutions such as Charge ON (formerly We Charge): with attractive rates starting at CHF 0.28/kWh and app access to numerous public charging stations across Europe.

There have been no national subsidy programs for electric cars in Switzerland since 2019.
However, some cantons and municipalities still offer local grants or tax benefits.

Example: In cities like Aarau or Zurich, it’s worth checking local incentive programs. Applications are submitted directly to the relevant municipal or cantonal authorities.
